Forward a project that began in July next sixteen years in business. Produced by the Cultural Association Ingenio Songs and Dances of the "International Folklore Festival Villa de Ingenio" Shows Solidarity of the Peoples" is an event that each summer makes Gran Canaria and in particular the town of Ingenio, becomes a party where is leading the dance and music.
It is gratifying to meet annually in July involved in a project that unites the world through culture, dance, music and tradition.
Years of experience have enriched us culturally, day by day, being with the embassies where we share not only dance and tradition but sometimes they are mostly friends who remain to this day. An act that each year we hope to not only the organization but also the public that there are attending workshops dominated the interaction between different cultures coming from as far away. It is not just a show where dance show but a time when the attendees enjoyed getting to know the components of the guests, tasting of foods from the countries participating in the festival, knowing about the cultural embassies, among so variety. An experience that is complemented throughout the week with colorful parades and performances in and out of our town.
Immersed in economic and social situation of concern, last year we face the tough task of following through with the festival but without the financial means for its realization. Thinking the best for the festival and for a people who love and preserve their traditions, the organization carries out mechanisms for the recovery of it reminiscent of rocky beginnings. Offered for sale a ticket, thanks to companies involved and join gift giving, most valuable. It gives us a great response from citizens who are to be sold in its entirety.
