Gran reencuentro de Embajadores en la fiesta de Cumpleaños de Manu

Varios embajadores de las distintas islas se han reunido este fin de semana en la isla de Gran Canaria. Muchos de ellos asistieron al cumpleaños de uno de sus miembros más queridos, Manuel Luque, en una fiesta Árabe en donde no pudo faltar esa alegría que nos caracteriza, y donde gran parte de esta grandisima familia se pudo reencontrar después un largo tiempo sin verse. Posteriormente, el grupo aumento en el festival Womad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria donde se unieron algunos embajadores mas a la fiesta.

Solo decir, que este acontecimiento demuestra la gran voluntad que este grupo posee, la capacidad por realizar el esfuerzo de viajar de muchos muchos miembros para reunirnos y el gran afecto y compañerismo, como si de una familia se tratara, que vive constante con nosotros día tras día.
SOMOS MUY GRANDESSS EMBAJADORES...

Several ambassadors of the different islands have gathered this weekend on the island of Gran Canaria. Many of them attended the birthday of one of its most beloved members, Manuel Luque, an Arab party in which he could not miss the joy that characterizes us, and where much of this major family was reunited after a long time without seeing. The group then increased the Womad festival in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria where they joined some ambassadors but to the party.

1- ¿Qué te ha parecido la World Travel Market de Londres?
- Pues sin duda la mejor feria a la que he asistido. Es impresionante lo bien organizada que esta y la cantidad de gente de todo el mundo que acude a este evento.

What do you think of the World Travel Market in London?

- The best show I've ever attended. It's amazing how well organized this and the number of people worldwide who come to this event.

2- ¿Qué tareas has realizado en la feria?

- Mi tarea se basaba principalmente en captar personas a nuestro stand y explicarles los sellos de calidad y aclararle dudas sobre nuestras islas.

What tasks you performed at the fair?

- My task was mainly to capture people to our stand and explain the hallmarks of quality and clarify questions about our islands.

3- ¿Qué tal la acogida de la gente en el stand de islas canarias? ¿Salían satisfechos y convencidos?

- Casi todo el mundo hablaba de nuestro stand. No solo por su colorido y su puesta en escena, con bailes y espectáculos cada poco tiempo, si no por la tecnología utilizada para facilitar la información a los interesados. Había pantallas táctiles con fotos y videos de los lugares que pertenecían a los sellos de calidad. Así que con dos clicks podías saber en cual de las 7 islas se podía hacer submarinismo o escalada por ejemplo.

How about welcoming people at the booth of canary islands? Did you leave satisfied and convinced?

- Almost everyone talked about our stand. Not only for its color and its staging, with dancing and shows every so often, if not by the technology used to provide information to stakeholders. There touchscreens with pictures and videos of the places belonging to the quality marks. So with two clicks you could know which of the 7 islands could go diving or climbing, for example.

4- ¿Como hablaba la gente de esta nueva propuesta de las islas canarias?

- Muchos de ellos no lo entendían, pero en cuanto lo captaban estaban muy impresionados. Creo que tuvo una muy buena aceptación.

What people were talking about as this new proposal from the Canary Islands?

- Many of them did not understand, but when it captured were very impressed. I think it had a very good acceptance

5- A nivel personal, que piensas sobre la asistencia de Canarias a esta importante feria y que repercusiones crees que puede tener a largo plazo para nuestras islas.

- Pues realmente creo que es vital que las Islas Canarias estuvieran ahí, en uno de los eventos mas importantes del mundo en cuanto a turismo se refiere. Y no solo eso si no que todo el mundo y me refiero a todos los países representados en esta feria, hablaban positivamente de nosotros. En cuanto a como será a largo plazo también dependerá en parte del apoyo político y periodístico. Igualmente creo que atraerá mas turistas y no solo eso, lo que es mas importante, turistas de calidad.

On a personal level, you think about the attendance at this important fair Canary
and that impact may have to think long term for our islands.

- I really think it is vital that the Canaries were there, one of the most important events

of the world for tourism is concerned. And not only that if everyone and I mean all the countries represented at the fair, spoke positively of us. As for how long term will also depend partly on the journalistic and political support. I also believe that attracting more tourists and not only that, what is more important, quality tourists.

El stand que Canarias presenta en la feria World Travel Market, que se celebra hasta el próximo jueves en Londres, ha recibido el primer premio al mejor stand de la feria; galardón que recibe por vez primera en la que es la segunda feria más importante del mundo.

El pabellón de Canarias en la World Travel Market (WTM), que abre hoy sus puertas, será el escaparate de los sellos de calidad de las Islas que servirán de reclamo en una promoción sin precedentes que tiene como objetivo catorce países. Canarias, que asiste a la muestra con el propósito de reposicionarse como el mejor destino turístico de invierno para los europeos y el mejor antídoto contra el "winter blues", lanzará, coincidiendo con la inauguración de la WTM, una campaña turística en catorce países. Stefanía Tinna Miljevic, 24 years old, Iceland

- What do you think about the promotion by the ambassadors in Iceland?

I think the ambassadors did an amazing job! The whole country was talking about the "young people from the Canary island" so you got the attention from everyone. Old and young. Plus I was in love with the spirit you brought to the town. Everyone were super friendly and introduced the mission very well.

- What did you like most of the ambassadors canaries? Have you talked about the canary islands?

I loved how open everyone was. No one was shy and they had real passion for what they were saying. Everyone was smiling and feeling happy. I fell in love with Canary after meeting you all, and I am planning on coming for a visit this January with my friend, so yes--I have talked ALOT about your country!

- Iceland is known to suffer a severe economic crisis, Do you think that this can greatly influence the Icelanders to travel to the Canaries next?

Yes, absolutely. People are now searching for something to make them feel good but don’t know where to search. So with you all coming here, that really opened our eyes to where to go.

- About the Canary Islands know what? Have you ever visited the islands?

I have never been there and I don’t know much.. But I know that you have beautiful people! 7 islands and 2 million people if I remember correctly :) This is why I would looove to go there to learn more!

- In conclusion, would you like to say something else?

Thank you all for coming up here :) Having you here was like a shot of vitamin for the rest of us and down town looks really empty. Hope all the ambassadors enjoyed my country as well and I hope I will see a lot of your islands very soon :)
