Maspalomas is simply beautiful and needs to be seen to be believed! Fine white sand and wind-sculpted dunes set against the blue sea are truly an amazing sight. Of course a beach this lovely is going to be popular, especially where the sunbeds are located.

The dunes can be reached by walking through a large arched entrance on Avenida de Tirajana. Walk down a short lane and you will be in the right place. Remember to bring a towel and flip-flops as the sand can get very hot. Every 100 metres or so there are kiosks selling refreshments.

You'll find Maspalomas beach divided into four areas: the first perfect for families and kids, the second and the fourth are nudist zones and the third is popular with the gay community.

Maspalomas beach is a true paradise for all beach and fun lovers, for families with children as well as sun worshippers, especially if you want to get away from the cold north European winter!

Like Playa del Inglés, this beach also offers everything you would look for to enjoy a fabulous day on the sand and in the sunshine. There are all sorts of sports and leisure facilities available including showers as well as lots of beach bars, restaurants and shops. If you would like to go scuba diving, go out on a pedalo or hire a jet-ski, it’s all here for you to enjoy. There are not many shaded areas, so it’s a good idea to hire a sunshade so you can get out of the sun for a while.

Mogán Beach, the small and sheltered beach of Mogan ( beach ) is of fine, clean, pale sand with stunning shallow blue water - a safe bathing haven for all the family. There are canoes and pedalos for hire on the beach along with sun beds and parasols. The promenade separates the beach from the recently built up area immediately behind the front line of souvenir shops, restaurants and bars.

Güigüi (Gran Canaria)

Güigüi or Guguy is a special natural reserve and an ecologically sensitive area near the village of San Nicolas in the southwest of the island of Gran Canaria, Spain. It is characterized by ravines and cliffs composed of a large population of flora (thermophilic, spurges) and fauna (especially birds). Among the cliffs is the beach of the same name to which you have to access more than two hours walking through a mountain or by boat.

WhaT is Gran Canaria?

Gran Canaria is a Spanish island in the Canary archipelago, located in the Atlantic Ocean. Together with the islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura is the province of Las Palmas, which also consisted of the islets of La Graciosa, Alegranza, Montaña Clara, Roque del Este, Roque del Oeste and Lobos Island.

Gran Canaria has a wide variety of climates, due to both the altitudinal gradient and the effect of trade winds, which lead to marked differences between windward and leeward landscape. The island capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is considered the city with the best climate in the world according to a study by Syracuse University (New York). For its part, Mogan in the south of the island, is the European Union more clear days.

The Carnival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is one of the largest in the world, are very popular and can be considered one of the most important holidays of the archipelago.

Roque de Los Muchachos (La Palma)

In the summer of 2010, while traveling in La Palma, I recommend going to a landmark of the island, the Roque de los Muchachos. A place where the earth and the universe are available to your eyes.

I remember that all citizens residing on the island that was appointed me a wonderful place, whose location in the middle of the Atlantic, and the peculiar climate trigger the formation of clouds between 1000 and 2000 m in height, which act as a mirror and prevent the light pollution of coastal populations hamper the observation of stars.

By midafternoon, about 17:00, we went by car to the top of the island. The scenery was spectacular green washed by the sea of clouds that gradually toward the island owner.

When we arrived at Roque de los Muchachos, the image is automatically recorded in your heart. You look around and see a sunset wrapped in a sea of clouds and monitored at all times by the spectacular image of the universe. Being in La Palma and do not contemplate the image of the starry sky is an option that can not afford.

Agüimes (Gran Canaria)

Agüimes is a municipality belonging to the Spanish province of Las Palmas. Located in the southeast of the island of Gran Canaria (Canary Islands). It has several protected natural areas.
