Alfredo Kraus and Las Canteras Beach (Gran Canaria)

The tour of the Las Canteras is situated few meters from the beach. Its length is about 3 kilometers making it ideal for me to maintain physical fitness by the practice of 'jogging' at the same time to enjoy a unique atmosphere, filled with bars and restaurants, live music, artists performing their work, male statue, etc and also the freshness of the sea.

At one end of the walk you can find the Alfredo Kraus auditorium where I could enjoy the concert of Pedro Guerra, and make my fringe of the institute and, in turn repeat scenario for the fringe of the university. This is a beautiful place because of its large size and in addition to the large window through which you can see the sea.

Castillo del Romeral (Gran Canaria)

The "Castle Romeral" is a small fishing village located in the southwest of the island of Gran Canaria.

Upon arrival, we find the small fishing port, where small boats highlight colors and fishing nets in the sea. Facing the marina can eat at the famous fishermen's guild, where fresh fish is the specialty, besides being very tasty food.

On the other hand, you're resting, you can walk a few minutes around 2 swimming pools with sea water, which are near the sea. The image of the pools is very pretty, and is a safe place to stop to take pictures and swim with the fish that are within the pools.

In addition, we find many fishermen with their fishing poles along the coast. An ideal image to photograph.

Surf in Las Canteras (Gran Canaria)

My first experience was this summer surfing at the beach in the Las Canteras, to be exact in the area known as the Ciser. It is a good place to learn and that brings good waves and in turn is a site considered dangerous if you are careful. On a personal level was a big challenge because I never imagined being able to get up on a table and balance, and to be my first time I did anything wrong.

However, that of falling so many times in the attempt and made quite frustrated when they had just given back to the full body hurt. But in short I had with it is something that repeated again, plus once you have made something that had long been wanting to do.

North Coast of Gran Canaria

If you are looking for a place to feel the wind, watch a volcanic landscape and hear the sound of the waves, you should come to this place.

Situated a few minutes from the capital of Gran Canaria. Easy to reach by road. Here you can see the wonderful views of the north coast of the island, the force of the sea crashing against the rocks and wind. It also has some stunning views of the capital. You can see the island in the distance.

It's a nice place to take pictures and admire the sculpture of Atlanta, which seems to receive the sea with open arms. And if you get hunger not worry, because there you can find a small restaurant where you can dine while admiring all the beautiful scenery.

Come and try it.

Los Indianos (La Palma)

The Indian palm represents the immigrant, who after making a fortune in Cuba, returned to the archipelago by clear display of his acquired wealth, representing a personal triumph with the backwardness of the peasantry canary of the time.

Today the party of the Indians held on Carnival Monday, simulating the landing of immigrants in the harbor, dressed in the traditional Indian attire (white rigorousCaribbean and Panama hats ”), to then begin the battle with powder To the soundof Cuban music.

The origin of the custom of playing and battling with talcum powder is not entirely clear. It is believed that after the abandonment of a lot of flour in poor condition at the port of La Palma, residents used it as a perfect toy for jokes so characteristic ofcarnival day.

International Folkloric Festival (Ingenio - Gran Canaria)

Forward a project that began in July next sixteen years in business. Produced by the Cultural Association Ingenio Songs and Dances of the "International Folklore Festival Villa de Ingenio" Shows Solidarity of the Peoples" is an event that each summer makes Gran Canaria and in particular the town of Ingenio, becomes a party where is leading the dance and music.

It is gratifying to meet annually in July involved in a project that unites the world through culture, dance, music and tradition.

Years of experience have enriched us culturally, day by day, being with the embassies where we share not only dance and tradition but sometimes they are mostly friends who remain to this day. An act that each year we hope to not only the organization but also the public that there are attending workshops dominated the interaction between different cultures coming from as far away. It is not just a show where dance show but a time when the attendees enjoyed getting to know the components of the guests, tasting of foods from the countries participating in the festival, knowing about the cultural embassies, among so variety. An experience that is complemented throughout the week with colorful parades and performances in and out of our town.

Immersed in economic and social situation of concern, last year we face the tough task of following through with the festival but without the financial means for its realization. Thinking the best for the festival and for a people who love and preserve their traditions, the organization carries out mechanisms for the recovery of it reminiscent of rocky beginnings. Offered for sale a ticket, thanks to companies involved and join gift giving, most valuable. It gives us a great response from citizens who are to be sold in its entirety.

Jet sky experience

A unique experience on a Jet Ski at Anfi

Last summer I had the chance to try a new experience in one of the best artificial beaches of the island, Anfi del Mar. If you can afford to pay for renting the Jet Ski for half an hour, have to say it has a very economic price, it’s something you should try once in your life!

For me it was the first time trying it and I can say it’s been one of the best safe ways to release adrenaline. You can reach high speeds, feel the wind in your face, get wet, and a nice way to have fun during the day

Romería del Pino (Gran Canaria)

The pilgrimage "Del Pino" is the ultimate party on the island of Gran Canaria, in honor of its patron saint, La Virgen del Pino.
This holiday is characterized, in addition to its importance, the great pilgrimage of people coming from all parts of the islands, many of them come from the island of Gran Canaria walking from different villages to reach Teror, the venue of the celebration of parties.

Last year, I was lucky enough to have accommodation on the day of the pilgrimage in Teror, a friend offered me her home and very happy to accept your proposal as it would hold a luncheon with many friends. About 3 pm, and we began to hear music and sounds of "timples" through the streets of Teror, increasingly began to see an influx of pilgrims who came walking into town.

At about 5 pm, began the procession, where the various carriages of the peoples of the island, made their offerings to the virgin dances in front of the church of Teror, and under the watchful gaze of people who enjoyed the party live and millions enjoyed watching the party on television relaying the Canaries party for all the islands live.

At night, the procession finished, we went to the place where he had live music, and where you can dance with your friends while listening to actual songs and rhythm. And about 5 in the morning our body broke down and went to sleep.

Therefore, if during the month of September are in Gran Canaria holiday, do not forget to come to this party as never forget.

The experience boat in south of Gran Canaria

This is my first experience in these boats, I have traveled on several cruise ships and ferries, but never in a motorboat.
The first impression he gives is that of being climbed on top of a table to catch waves, the boat moves a lot but as it reaches adequate velocity that feeling disappears and the sensation of feeling the sea breeze on your face.

I have to say that in the Canary Islands are one people with the sea culture rooted in the blood, is something that comes from birth, and we feel the sea as our own.

Among many other water sports are practiced in Gran Canaria, Water skiing or scuba diving, also practice with jet skis and boats. You're the ideal place to spend a holiday in a wonderful and sunny Canary Islands is the place you want.

The southern island of Gran Canaria from area to area Arguineguin - Agaete, throughout the west coast of the island, is an area that is characterized by high cliffs and rocky areas, but it is an area where you can admire some amazing landscapes and sunsets around the Teide (Tenerife) a witness in the background.

I recommend that if you are not experts or watercraft you do not have the title of skipper, who organicéis a tour of a professional.

The archipelago has a great diversity of species, hence it is a protected natural area. However, many poachers are displayed around the islands of the archipelago of Chinijo. And thanks to travelers who are in the area, they have often fled.

This photo was taken in “La Graciosa”, one of the islands of the Archipelago Chinijo, to the north of Lanzarote. In it we can see “Montaña Clara” It forms a part of the Nature reserve of the Archipelago Chinijo. As the rest of the islands Canaries, his origin is volcanic. His name owes to the clear tones that there takes his volcanic cone, which covers great surface of the island. This photo is amazing!

In addition, clear mountain is a perfect place for some experienced divers, as the great diversity of marine species are found there, the diver makes you feel in another world. Honestly, the words of my friends is a great place to take pictures underwater.

Walking in Canary Islands

Walking is health, but also an intimate experience of freedom and silence. Walking alone through the mountains is a commitment to caring for the body and mind and keeps us immune to future therapies.

The ride is an encounter with solitude and silence, an experience that far from being tortured teaches us, nourishes and defends us because it reinforces our bodies and our will.
